Become what it is you long for.

A different kind of yoga teacher training

Rooted in earth-based spirituality, rhythmic living, and natural movement

The Space Holder RYT Training

Fridays February 2nd - April 26th 2024 6-9pm Saturdays February 17th, March 23rd, April 20th & May 4th (graduation ceremony) 1-4pm

This program will go much deeper than your average RYT training, Rooted in earth-based spirituality, rhythmic living, and natural movement. You can expect to not only learn how to effectively guide a yoga class but also become open and aware of your unique gifts, how to create, work, and live in purpose with cyclic understanding as our ancestors did.

The world does not need more gurus, we must initiate elders.

Facilitated by Randie Bowler

Randie is an herbalist, doula, yoga teacher, movement educator, rites of passage facilitator, and writer. Living in Michigan with her husband and two daughters on the land her paternal line has farmed and tended since the late 1800s.

She was catapulted into the work of reclamation after the birth of her first daughter when the lack of village became painfully apparent. A potent dark night of the soul left her with a deep-rooted homesickness for a time that once was, and a message to step back into a way of being not so long forgotten. Ritual and ancestral connections have been the medicine that eased this feeling of displacement and loneliness. Her mission is to share that with others, in remembering belonging has always been ours.

With teachings from Heather Barnes and Uncivilized Vitality.

May we reclaim and step into being the space holders.

What is The space holder rYT training?

During this 12-week journey, we will pair the different styles of yoga with a corresponding earth-based practice. Working through Ashtanga, paired with weaving ritual and ceremony into your life. Slow Flow, with connecting to the land and establishing relationship with non-human allies. Vinyasa, with connecting to community and being of authentic service. Yin, with connecting to self, shadow, and calling intimately. The material will also be enriched with a heavy focus on the ancient art of being in circle and holding space, anatomy, and hunter/gatherer movement and philosophy taught by Uncivilized vitality.

The asana-- movement, is the smallest piece of the puzzle. Instead of the narrative that asks us to transcend the human body and experience, let us begin to descend back into the depths of what makes us human. Let us ask to remember our rightful place, in loving relationship with earth, lineage, community, and ourselves. The world does not need more gurus, we must initiate elders. May we reclaim and step into being the space holders.

Due to the intimacy and the energetic capacity of the facilitators, we will only be taking 15 trainees.
